A satisfying effort with the always-reliable Ray McKinnon. Although the film dismantles a little in the third act, it is a solid evocation of southern sub-culture (like 'Chrystal' from a few years back). Hal Holbrook turns in a measured performance as an escapee from a retirement center bent on reclaiming his old life and homestead in rural Tennessee. Michael Penn's music is also a major plus. Splendid cinematography and measured direction.
