I just thought that this film was beautifully done. I loved the way Jarle and Yngve's relationship developed. Just an incredibly well done film, it was tragic and beautiful all at once.

I wanted to love this film but finally had to admit it was just a giant copout. Why does the gay person always have to die, or be suicidal, or demented, or mental, or weak and wishy-washy? Why was Jarle attracted to Yengve in the first place if not sexually? I can understand him turning on Yengve. But I can't forgive Yenve's fate as conceived by the director. He can still turn away from the implications of his love for Yengve without Yengve being sold short as a human being.
