Good Morning!
There are several gems of information contained in this lesson for us today. The lesson makes the first mention of our "true function in the world" and subsequent lessons will mention our true purpose and our true function many times. In this lesson it says "Your purpose s to see the world through your own holiness. (1:2) It goes on to say that when we see the world in this way, everyone gains. There is no sacrifice involved on anyone's part. In fact, we are all entitled to everything because it is our birthright (1:6). This is pretty clear isn't it? The concept of bargaining has no part in this description. No one profits more than another and no one loses because he has given of himself.
I really like sentence 2:7 - "Those who see themselves as whole make no demands." I love being with people who see themselves as whole. They don't seem to have needs that they are trying to get you to fill. They are just who they are and seem to fit in their skin effortlessly. It makes me feel good about myself just to be with them. I feel blessed, just like this lesson says. If I see myself as blessed, and holy, and whole, then I can mirror that back to my brothers just as others have done it for me. I also like sentence 3:2 which tells us that we don't go around preaching to people that we are all one and we can't make anyone understand that we are all one just by telling them that. We just quietly recognize our holiness in our self and if we truly do that, then all are blessed along with us.
This lesson is inspirational and makes so much sense to me. Thank you, God!
