Good Morning!

Today's lesson is an exercise in persistence.  We allow ourselves way too much slack in our spiritual discipline at times, don't we?  This lesson is asking us to make a commitment to stating the idea for the day once every half hour.   That figures out to over 30 times during our waking hours.  All we are being asked to do is to say "Above all else I want to see".  We do not even have to be sure we really mean it, although the lesson tells us that if we manage to say it at least once during the day, AND REALLY MEAN IT, we will have saved many years of effort.

I believe this lesson is testing us, asking us to stretch our limits and put ourselves out there on a limb.  It is asking us to put some muscle into this work we are doing in the Workbook.  One person stated that she set her cell phone to vibrate every half hour when it was time to state the idea for the day and it helped her stay on track.  As the lesson states, "It can only bless."  We are not being asked to give anything up today, just to state the idea for the day every half hour. Notice that repetition is usually required to change a habit.   Please share your experience with the lesson with us.

This lesson to me is about expressing my desire and willingness to learn and then going deeper by attempting to remember the lesson as often as possible during the day. The increase in the practice has made me aware of how often I forget to express my desire to see. And I now I realize this awareness is a crucial part of the process of undong the resistance. I can't let go of the resistance unless I know it exists and recognize it as coming from the fear of losing my "self". Luckily, I am reminded in the lesson not to feel guilty about this. This is a process that I am going through and at this point understanding is not necessary, only willingness.
